WESTRIDGE HEARING POSTPONED
In July 2007, the CEQA lawsuit against the City of Redding and the developers of Westridge was assigned to Judge Jahr. Briefs and responses to briefs were filed and a motion to add documents to the record were ruled on by Judge Jahr. Then, when the case was to be heard on Jan. 23, 2008, Judge Jahr recused himself. That means another judge must be assigned and that will not be done until late Feb. 2008.

WESTRIDGE CEQA LAWSUIT POSTPONE

January 23, 2008, the date court was to hear CEQA lawsuit against City of Redding and various developers, Judge Jahr recused himself. This set in motion reversal of previous decision to exclude Clear Creek CSD letter disputing Water Findings, and new dates for assigning a new judge and hearing dates. See Documents Section to read Clear Creek comments.

New judge will be assigned in late February.

These court appearances, filings and delays add expense to the process. As always, we appreciate your contributions and, again, ask you to contribute to Sierra Club and Friends of Canyon Creek Legal Defense.

Our hope is that if we are successful, other folks will not have to fight so hard for environmental justice. Send financial legal defense contributions to : Friends of Canyon Creek, PO Box 121, Shasta, CA 96087. THANK YOU !!
